Please be advised that Garrett County is under a Winter Weather Advisory beginning at 4:00 a.m. and continuing through 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. This could possibly lead to an inclement weather day for Garrett County Public Schools (GCPS). Therefore, students will be bringing digital devices home with them today.

If there is a need to make a call to implement an inclement weather day, it could happen in the following forms, as outlined in our Winter Operations and Virtual Learning Plans:

• 2-hour delay - schools will open two hours later than the normal operating schedule
• 3-hour delay - schools will be three hours later than the normal operating schedule
• School closure (Snow Day) - Students will be out of school. The day will be made up at a later time
• Virtual Learning Day - Students will attend virtually with work assigned through Schoology

PLEASE NOTE: No decision to alter operations has been made at this time. If a change in the operating schedule should occur, this will be announced via our standard operating procedures by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow. If no call is made, students are expected to return to school, as normally scheduled, with their digital devices.
