A public auction of Southern Middle School fixtures, furniture, and equipment will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m., at 605 Harvey Winters Dr. Oakland, MD. The auction is hosted by Garrett County Public Schools (GCPS) and will be conducted by Custer’s Auction Service.

The equipment available for auction includes a wide range of items such as building structures, kitchen equipment, educational equipment, shop equipment, home economics lab items, music lab items, gymnasium equipment, and a tractor with a loader.

The available items will be available for preview on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The auction will be an all-day event, and the auctioneers note that there will likely be two rings for a portion of the day. Attendees are advised to bring their own seating. Please note that the inventory is subject to change.

After the auction, all items must be removed by Wednesday, July 3, 2024. The terms for the auction are cash or check with ID, and the seller is the Garrett County Board of Education.
