A proposed supplemental resource, Promoting Health Among Teens: Abstinence-Only Intervention, was presented for review during the April 8, 2025, board meeting. This comprehensive, skills-based supplemental resource is an evidence-based supplement to the existing state-mandated high school health curriculum.

Feedback is crucial in shaping the future of our education system. The supplemental resource is available for review and comment through May 6, 2025, at the Ruth Enlow Libraries of Accident and Oakland or online via https://www.etr.org/ebi/programs/promoting-health-among-teens-abstinence-only/. Of note, parent(s)/guardian(s) may opt their student out of this portion of the state-mandated curriculum at the beginning of the course.

The Board is expected to take action on the proposed curricula during the May 13, 2025, Board meeting.
