The Garrett County Public Schools Foundation serves as a means of complementing educational resources, channeling funds into existing accounts, and disseminating information on how best to contribute to the supplemental needs of Garrett County Public Schools. Donations may be made as designated assistance to specific programs or undesignated for needs to be determined by the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
The Foundation was created in honor of Dr. Wendell Teets, who served as superintendent of schools from 1997 to 2011. The GCPS Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to enhancing experiences and programs for preschoolers through 12th graders in all Garrett County Public Schools.
