GCPS Strategic Plan 2024-2027
The GCPS strategic plan outlines high-level strategies and action steps aimed at achieving our vision and mission, as well as the outcomes outlined in the Blueprint. Each priority area is supported by clear goals, allowing us to track progress and make data-driven decisions to ensure continued growth and success for our students, staff, and community. Unless otherwise indicated, all goals are three-year goals spanning from 2024-2025 through 2026-2027.

During the March 11, 2025, Board Meeting, the school calendar was updated to include an additional make-up day. Thursday, June 12, 2025, will now be a make-up day to accommodate the missed instructional time due to inclement weather.

The Approved GCPS 2025-26 School Calendar is now available on the Public Relations page of our website. The approved calendar boasts a post-Labor Day start, with students returning to school on September 2, 2025, and school tentatively ending on June 5, 2026.

Five sets of proposed curricula were presented for review at the March 11, 2025, Board of Education meeting. Feedback is crucial in shaping the future of our education system. Each set of materials is available for review and comment through April 3, 2025.
