The 2025 Garrett County Envirothon took place recently at the Hickory Environmental Education Center. Student teams from Northern and Southern High Schools faced off in outdoor conservation challenges.

It has come to the attention of GCPS that the SGHS wrestling team was in violation of a local policy concerning practicing during the 2024-25 school year. As a result of this violation, appropriate disciplinary action has been imposed.

The Garrett County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Northern Middle School in the cafeteria. The meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed for public review.
