Elementary School Education
Garrett County Public Schools operates elementary grade Pre-Kindergarten through grade five instructional programs for students in eight schools. The elementary curriculum is aligned with the Common Core State Standards. The elementary school programs place a high priority on the development of basic skills, as well as challenging each student to reach the maximum of his/her potential. The elementary school programs provide students with activities designed to meet each child's physical, social and intellectual development.
