Pre-Kindergarten Registration

  • Beginning February 14, 2022, 8:00 am*, Garrett County Public Schools will be accepting applications for its 2022-2023 Pre-Kindergarten Programs. To be eligible for this program, a child must have been 4 years old by September 1, 2022. Interested persons need to complete a pre-kindergarten application online or at the school within their district. Registration will be held at each school in May 2022. • Referral
    • Emergency and health situation
    • Home and family circumstances
Students that do not meet the automatic enrollment criteria or the income eligibility criterion will be given an empty seat in the home-origin school. If there are no empty seats available in the home school of origin, students will be given an empty seat in the school nearest to their home school. Please note that homeless children will be automatically eligible, even if the enrollment exceeds 20 or more students per school site. All applications will be time and date-stamped to support the enrollment process.

The application packet includes a parent letter, eligibility criteria, the Notification of Interest Form, and a Pre-Kindergarten Questionnaire.
