Full-Time Opportunity for Recent High School Graduates
If you recently completed high school, or the equivalent, this paid full-time opportunity could be of interest to you!
The Service Year Option is Governor Wes Moore’s unprecedented new service opportunity that will provide you with job training, an onsite mentor, and resources to be successful (personal money management training, career exploration, etc.) Accepted Service Year Option members will interview with host site partners across the state in various sectors, based on their interests.
The Service Year Option program begins on Wednesday, October 25, and is for Maryland high school graduates, GED recipients, and certificate holders who graduated in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Benefits:
- Earn at least $15 an hour and serve full-time, a minimum of 30 hours per week, plus other dedicated time for Professional Development.
- Members also receive $6,000 that can be paid out as a taxable cash stipend or deposited into a Maryland 529 account toward their future tuition costs at the end of their service term.
- Receive professional development, on-the-job training, mentoring, and time to explore potential career paths for your future.
- Career coaching and job seeking assistance throughout the Service Year, and upon completing your year of service.
